The Urbano Quinto's American Diaries (1977 - 1987)

At the Studio 54 Andy Warhol, Halston and Bianca Jagger were regulars until the opening day. They were there for different reasons: Halston, fashion designer, to see how streetboys in Harlem dressed and the cool Manhattan ones. Always very elegant, dressed in black, Halston loved to appear surrounded by his models, renamed Halstonettes. Andy Warhol was there to look for interesting stories for his magazine Interview and to find inspiration for his Pop Art works. I never saw him dance, but I always saw him with a camera or tape recorder in his hand.  His favorite point of observation was the DJ's console. Privileged position high up where Andy could be seen by everyone and observe everything that was happening. Bianca was still married to Mick Jagger, but she didn't to be very happy. She liked it very much dance and she wanted to meet interesting people even if it was very selective, she only needed a look to understand a person. It was Bianca who introduced me to Andy Warhol on the night of  April 26, 1977 and thanks to him I also meet Keith Haring, Jean-Michel Basquiat, David Bowie and John Lennon.

Future Exhibitions

An international cultural exhibition dedicated to the legendary life of Urbano Quinto is also under consideration. The event, which focuses primarily, but not exclusively, on his New York period, will be divided into three parts: the first features original documents and multimedia, the second a substantial selection of previously unseen artworks owned by Urbano Quinto Heritage, and the third will explore the affinities and continuities with the artists and interpreters of the New York spleen in the contemporary world.

Exhibitions 2024

In the summer of 2024, on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the birth of Urbano Quinto, the event Urbano Quinto Heritage at Alpemare was held. The cultural exhibition took place in Forte dei Marmi - Italy, a town much loved by Urbano Quinto and Anita Bischoff Urbano. The show proposed works from the Private Collection of Urbano Quinto Heritage of Dover, DE, USA, exhibited to the public for the first time in a luxurious and sophisticated venue, known for hosting high-level events of luxury brands, with a cosmopolitan atmosphere and a touch of Versilian charm.

Exhibitions 2025

The Urbano Quinto Heritage returns to Alpemare in Forte dei Marmi - Italy, following the resounding success of 2024, when, for the first time in the world, a beach club hosted a three-month cultural exhibition dedicated to the great masters of 20th-century Street and Pop Art. This time, concentrated into one night, an exclusive event of art, fashion and entertainment was held, in collaboration with My Mancini, the shoemaker of the stars

from Florence, who created a specially designed pair of entirely handmade shoes dedicated to a previously unseen Subway Drawing by Keith Haring, depicting New York - The Big Apple, which represents figures such as Urbano Quinto, Anita Bischoff Urbano, young Mauro Urbano, the artist himself, and Jean-Michel Basquiat. The Pop Art celebrated that night continues to shine, live and provoke also in the memory of the great masters with Andy, Keith and Jean-Michel and in the name of Urbano Quinto, an eternal source of stimulus and inspiration also for the new generations.
