Private collection of masterpieces of the Middle-Age and the Renaissance.

Only museal items of "Haute Epoque" from the Urbano Quinto Collection as metalworks (iron, copper, bronze and brass) and european sculptures (wood, stone, ivory and bronze).

The Urbano Quinto Collection includes famous masterpieces such as the iron flask damascening in gold and silver and the Chimeras key from the coffer secrets, works of the Renaissance by the extraordinary hand of Benvenuto Cellini.

Among the wrought irons the medieval polylobate grilles stand out for their beauty and rarity. Also extraordinary are the oversized German Gothic portal keys, the Venetian keys with very fine spokes, the Italian dolphin and the French keys with anthropomorphic and zoomorphic figures. Noteworthy are the small Lombard and French lighting irons from the former collection of Henry-René d'Allemagne and the figured, engraved and openwork locks and plates locks.

The wood carvings are rarely polychrome because there is a predilection for sculptural executions in essence of boxwood, Lombard or Venetian, from Nuremberg or Mechelen, from Antwerp or the Croutelle village, from the Venaissin Comtat or the Île de France. Also significant is the Donatellian boxwood Christ, extraordinarily executed without a loincloth in Florence, in the second half of the 15th century.

The collection also includes parade noble embossed and chiselled coppers of the Barberini or Colonna families, Limousin enamels, bronze sculptures and plaques, alms dishes, Italian ivories and Parisian or German leaf diptychs.
